About Selene Silverwind
Biography and Community Involvement

Selene Silverwind

I have been a practicing Pagan for over ten years, and came to the faith after an extended search. Within Paganism, I have studied both Wicca and Celtic Shamanism. As an author and lecturer, I have visited bookstores across the country, including the Salem Witch Village, to present my Relationship Magic workshop. I have also been a presenter at The Learning Annex, Pagan conventions such as Pantheacon, and twice appeared on my local UPN news as an "expert Love Witch".

Once Upon a Beltane Eve, my visionary Pagan romance, was published in 2001 by Spilled Candy Publications. Woven into the story were real descriptions of Wiccan beliefs, practices, and festivals. Magic for Lovers, a collection of relationship rituals for couples, will be released by Crossing Press in 2003.

A graduate of Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, I write serial fiction and a Pagan parenting column for the Cauldrons & Broomsticks e-zine. I also writes columns on Pagan parenting for The Blessed Bee, a Pagan parenting newsletter from the publishers of SageWoman and PanGaia, and reviews for newWitch, a magazine targeted at young adults.

I serve as the President of Pagan Pride Los Angeles, Inc., a division of the International Pagan Pride Project. The Pagan Pride Project is dedicated to educating the public about modern Paganism and correcting commonly held misconceptions and fears about our beliefs and practices.
